Warm breadby 7.

Sourdough, croissants and Crumbo’s famous cinnamon knots, baked on Lantern Street every morning from 4:30. Order ahead and it’s waiting for you, still warm.

Fresh out of the oven

What came out of the oven this morning, and roughly how much is left. It updates on its own.

    How the morning goes

    1. Lights on. Crumbo feeds the sourdough starter and the ovens warm up.

    2. First loaves in. Sourdough and rye go first because they take the longest.

    3. Doors open. Croissants come out, the coffee goes on and the queue starts.

    4. The cinnamon knots are usually gone by now. Order ahead if you want one.

    5. Mostly sold out. We clean up and mix tomorrow’s dough so it can rest overnight.

    Cakes, made to order

Pick the tiers, the sponge, the icing colour and what goes on top. You see the cake change as you go, and the price with it. Three days’ notice is all we need.
